First, I just want to tell you how excited I am to have the Easy Eyelet Yoke Cardigan join the Easy Eyelet Yoke collection. Back in 2019 when I came out with the original Easy Eyelet Yoke Pullover I had no clue that not only it would take off so much, but it would become my top-selling pattern of all time, and spur a collection of spin offs.
BLOG POST BREAKDOWN
This blog post is gonna have a lot of information, so let me break it down for your scroll.
1) I’ll go into the 4 designs that are in the collection
2) I’ll talk a bit more about the cardigan version and that’s where you’ll find more photos, tester photos, testers yarn subs and their final yardages
3) The details to the KAL (Knit-A-Long)
Let’s get started!
THE EASY EYELET YOKE COLLECTION
The Easy Eyelet Yoke collection is made up of four different top-down garments that are knit in a yoke-style with the signature eyelet detailing. These eyelets are what make the pearl-like holes you see, and it’s called “easy” in the title for a reason - keep reading.
The collection includes a range from cozy knit pullovers and cardigans, to spring and summer tee’s and dresses, all with the eye-catching eyelet detail at the top.
When coming up with the original design, I wanted to create a pattern that made even a beginner knitter feel comfortable making a sweater for the first time. I also wanted to introduce them to the world of knitting a top-down yoke. Top-down knits are the BOMB. If you haven’t tried one, here are 4 killer patterns to do so (wink!). Essentially, you knit the whole thing in one piece without any seams, starting at the top of the neck and working your way down. Yokes are a blast because you can knit in the round forever and never have to knit flat, which I personally LOVE. Plus no seaming is a win for me! Not sure what a yoke sweater is? Head to this other blog post to find out.
The Easy Eyelet Yoke collection includes 4 patterns:
1) #EasyEyeletYokeCardi - the newest of the crew and a worsted weight cardigan version of the original
2) #EasyEyeletYoke - the OG of the group. A worsted weight top-down pullover
3) #EasyEyeletYokeLite - A fingering weight version with short sleeves and short rows in the back of the neck
4) #EasyEyeletYokeDress - A worsted weight cotton version with short rows in the back, an elastic cinched waist, and a cascading skirt.

DESCRIPTION
Seamless and with the cutest sunburst detail of eyelet stitches, the Easy Eyelet Yoke Cardigan is the perfect project for a knitter wanting to dive into their first seamless top-down yoke cardi. Made with roughly 5-7”/13-18cm of positive ease in mind, this cardigan was designed for everyday wear. Simple and elegant, it can be dressed down with some ripped jeans and short booties, or dressed up to wear to work. The eyelet increase stitches truly remind me of strands of pearls, classy and simple.
Knit top down, flat, and seamless, this pattern is written in 9 sizes – XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL). It is suggested that you highlight your size, so you know which stitch count to follow. Model pictured is wearing the size M and is 5’7”, 145 pounds and has a bust of 36.5” in circumference, for reference.
PICKING YOUR SIZE
How to choose your size: Find your bust measurements below. The positive ease is built into the pattern, meaning the final measurements will be 5-7" bigger than that number.
